I first started riding dry-mat when I was 12 and headed up to the Scottish mountains the following year. Initially focusing on freestyle I entered my first snowboard cross race, the SSBX at Glenshee in 2013 returning to the Scottish Championships the following year to take the U16 title. Since then I have snowboarded with family friends and team-mates across Europe, USA, Canada and Asia.

After being selected in 2015 as a Junior Elite GB SBX athlete I was awarded a Sports Scholarship by Robert Gordons University in Aberdeen allowing me to combine training in Europe with the squad at a high level, whilst studying for a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

Having been selected in both 2016 and 2017 to represent GB at the World Junior Snowboard Cross Championships in Slovenia and Czech Republic I was proud to be also selected to represent GB at the World Winter University Games in Kazakhstan in February 2017. The Universiade is the largest multi-sport event in the world apart from the Olympic Games and allowed me to compete against elite athletes from around the globe on a challenging wolrd class course. Finishing as the highest placed GB Snowboard Cross male competitor in Kazakhstan, training now starts towards selection for the Winter Universaide in Krasnoyarsk Russia in 2019.

Over the next couple of years I hope to continue my training and competing in Europe with the GB SBX team whilst completing my Masters Degree and then aiming to represent GB in SBX at the highest level.
